The backbone of our Chattanooga data center campus is a fibre ring that supports up to 1.4 Tbps of bandwidth. Our switching systems offer a 5 Tbps backplane capacity, and our ethernet switching infrastructure is capable of 1.6 Tbps. We have more than enough bandwidth to support even the largest and most complex backup operations that businesses require, and without sacrificing system performance elsewhere. Our entire facility promotes a secure and reliable backup and storage environment that keeps client systems and data safe and available at all times.

Real Backup for Virtual Environments

Backups of virtual machines are fast and secure thanks to technology like Change Block Tracking, which updates only changed data instead of complete files. Backup times decrease, improving efficiency and lowering costs. We offer file level restoration for all Windows and most Linux virtual machines, and this backup is available on both Fibre Channel or iSCSI connections. LAN-less backups eliminate degradations of virtual systems’ performance, also reducing backup times. VSS quiescing guarantees that we can cleanly back up even files that are in flux during backup operations. Our backup options extend to colocated virtual environments as well.

As Cutting Edge as Tape Libraries Get

Our tape backup library uses industry-proven LT04 tapes in order to offer generous capacity and speed at an economical price. However, our library is also ready to take advantage of the newest LT05 tapes, offering additional speed and capacity to customers that demand more. ASIC line rate encryption allows us to encrypt tapes on-the-fly, speeding the backup process. Off-site tape backup provides an additional layer of redundancy and security should a large-scale disaster affect our main campus. Additionally, we can offer partitioned tape systems that allow our customers to manage a portion of their tape library so that they can maintain absolute control over their most critical systems and data. Customers may also take advantage of a virtual tape library on any of our tiered storage options and manage it themselves or leave the task to us.
