We employ the latest technologies and innovations in order to protect a company’s physical and virtual assets. We go to such lengths because at the core of all Terenine services is security. The design and operation of Terevault offers some of the highest levels of security, redundancy, disaster recovery, and maintainability in the nation. Our devotion to security led us to the building and deployment of this pristine and operationally elegant bank vault-style data center for situations where high performance data processing is required. Thus, “live” data can be migrated into faster storage options for designated periods of time and moved back to more cost-effective storage solutions, respectively.

TV1 - SPECS

DataDomain DD660

  • ASIC based, block level data deduplication (ASIC = Application Specific Integrated Circuit) Dual 10Gbps NICs.
  • One terminated in TV1 and one in DC1 (for full mesh).
  • Dual 1Gbps NICs. Typical compression ratio is 30:1 (storing 30TB of useable data requires 1TB of physical space).
  • Horizontally scalable.

Air Flow

  • Configured in Hot Aisle / Cold Aisle setup.

Spectra Logic T950

  • LTO4 tapes and drives (LTO = Linear Tape Open) with 120Mb/s native drive speed and 1.6TB compressed tape capacity.
  • LTO5 Ready (140Mb/s native drive speed and 3TB compressed tape capacity).
  • Scalable between one and eight frames (we currently have one frame).
  • One frame is scalable to 24 LTO drives and 730 slots (LTO4 or LTO5).
  • Eight frames are scalable to 120 LTO drives and 10,050 slots (LTO4 or LTO5).
  • ASIC based, line rate encryption.
  • Can be partitioned into eight virtual libraries.
  • All components have dual NICs or FC connections.
  • All connections attached to different switches (full mesh).
