Software Developer (PHP)

Terenine is in need of a full time PHP Developer. The successful candidate must be experienced in the design and development of data-intensive business applications. The successful candidate will have solid business application development skills and a desire to be part of a premier team developing world-class solutions. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

· Excellent knowledge and experience with MySQL, writing queries, reports and stored procedures 

· Excellent Problem solving skills 

· Must work well in an Agile/Scrum team environment 

· Maintain project deadlines 

· Estimate and manage time accurately and independently 

· Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines within a short timeframe 

· Juggle multiple projects simultaneously, and work closely with clients and team members 

· Ability to think strategically and create multiple solutions to address the needs of clients 

· Meticulous attention to details

CORE SKILLS REQUIRED  

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on programming with PHP 5, OOP/D, and Zend Framework 
  • Minimum 3 years MySQL development.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience writing queries, reports, and stored procedures 
  • Minimum 2 years with design and architecture of internet based applications. 
  • Strong English communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  •  Languages: Python or Ruby

  • Frameworks: Zend, Code Igniter, CakePHP, Symfony or Ruby on Rails.

  • Tools: Drupal, Wordpress, or Joomla

  • MVC Architecture (Model View Controller)

  • SQL Server (2005 or better)

  • MySQL, MySQL DBA or Linux Server

  • Agile/Scrum Methodology

  • Databases: Erlang, Scala, F#, Rabbit MQ, Zebra MQ, Retis, Couch Base, Raven DB

EDUCATION 

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
